2013 will be a huge year for us. We are looking forward to it. I cannot tell you how many emotions we have about this new year. This is our 7th season and it has been a great season so far. We are entering into Nationals Season and are perfecting and changing routines to bring them to the National Championships we are attending. We have really enjoyed this season so far. We have such a great group of athletes. We are the coaches and are often teaching them things....... a lot of times they teach us lessons. That is what happens when you have great kids at your gym. We have a job where we can come to work and spend it with these great kids that love the sport of cheerleading and kids who inspire us daily. We discussed how inspired we were at the last competition by the kids in our program.
We had a long 2 week break for Christmas and we all spent this time with our families. I spent every second with my husband and 3 kids. We rested, we hung out and we enjoyed each others company. I spent a lot of time rejuvenating from a long weekend competition week and rested my brain. I needed to. Today we conferenced together over the phone (the staff) and discussed our plans for Nationals. We even made plans for the upcoming season starting in April. We have never planned so big. I am thankful for a staff that has such a passion for competitive cheer and dance. At the last competition we attended I saw a staff who was so together and athletes who bonded in warm-up. We are so blessed to be a part of something amazing.
Nationals is my favorite! We all have our jobs with the teams and we all are on a mission. I am so excited for all the parents to see the finished product of what these kids will accomplish! I am also feeling very blessed to have the most amazing staff in the world. My staff is family. We are all very excited to get back in the gym! I was flooded with the sweetest text messages throughout the break and I told my husband on Christmas that even though it can be the hardest most stressful job ever it is so worth it to make a difference in these kids' lives. And I hope we are!!
